Abubakar Yakubu, the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), who narrowly won against Regina Daniel’s Mother Rita Daniels by 116 votes to 113, with three votes ruled invalid, has reportedly been involved in a fatal auto crash in Surulere, Lagos.

According to initial reports, the incident led to the loss of a life.

Yakubu is currently in police custody at the Barracks Police Station in the Surulere area of Lagos, as authorities continue probing the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Officials have not yet issued a formal statement explaining the cause of the crash or the progress of ongoing investigations.
