A High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for killing NYSC member Salome Adaidu.
The ruling came on Thursday as Justice Simon Aboki found Ajayi guilty of the shocking murder and dismemberment of the young corps member.
Ajayi faced a one-count charge of culpable homicide, a serious offence under Section 221 of the Penal Code in Northern Nigeria which carries the death penalty.
In his judgment, Justice Simon Aboki stated that the prosecution left no room for doubt and clearly proved that Ajayi was deliberately behind the horrific act.
