Cole Palmer bagged a brace and provided an assist as Chelsea secured victory in the inaugural expanded Club World Cup, defeating European champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in Sunday’s final held at the MetLife Stadium.
Palmer struck twice within the first 30 minutes, while Joao Pedro scored the third before halftime. PSG, who were comprehensively outplayed, ended the match with Joao Neves receiving a late red card.
The Manager of PSG also aggressively threw some unnecessary punches to Joao Pedro after the final whistle.
